David Edwards at The Raw Story:
“Lady Gaga, surprising a lot of people last night with this tribute to Sound of Music,” Dawson said, adding that actress Julie Andrews called it “wonderful.”Vince Grzegorek at Cleveland Scene:Capel remarked that she had also been surprised by Lady Gaga’s performance.
“It’s hard to really hear her voice with all the jigaboo music — whatever you want to call it — jigaboo!” Capel opined.
“She has a nice voice,” Dawson, who is black, said after a nervous laugh.
In the midst of this morning's Fox 8 morning show, during a discussion of Lady Gaga's performance at the Oscar's last night, Kristi Capel dropped "jigaboo" into the conversation as an adjective to describe Lady Gaga's music. Not good, ladies and gents.Capel did later apologize (even if it was seen as more of a nonpology apology); however, I'd expect WJW bosses to suspend her or even fire her.
Her "apology" tweets to some users who complained about her language seems more like a nonpology to me.
I deeply regret my insensitive comment. I didn't know the meaning and would never intentionally use hurtful language. I sincerely apologize

"I'm sorry if I offended you" is not an apology. "I'm sorry I said offensive thing" is closer. @Kristi_Capel#jigaboomusic

From the 02.23.2015 edition of WJW's Fox 8 News In The Morning:
And note to Capel, "Jiggaboo" IS a derogatory and racist term used against African-Americans-- the very same term that Don Imus got his butt fired from MSNBC back in 2007, along with other racial slurs used.
